How to add a new server on Audiognome. It's quite easy actually. When
you start up Audiognome it automatically gets a list of available OpenNap
/ SlavaNap servers for you. These you can browse per network or just per
server. You can choose which one to connect to and which one not to. Should
you want to add a new server manually, this is how you should go about
it.
- Step 1: In the Main aG screen, under Connect, right
click your mouse on the lower frame.
- Step 2: Select Add new server to database
from the popup menu. How to fill in the fields Static IP / Server Domain
Name add here a server domain name e.g. huize.balladp2p.com Port: add
the port here 3456 or 8888
- Step 3: Server Domain Name: add here the same server
domain name as in the first field.
- Step 4: Type (affiliation) : The network the server

Why can't I connect to Ballad with WinMx?
Some of the servers have limited the number of users of WinMX, try again
later.
Why are your servers always full?
Because we have a great Network ! and are very popular with the users
who like the large number of files and fast servers !
Why does it always say Queued?
If you're Remotely Queued that means that the other user is responsible,
if it says Queued then that is your Client configuration check
your settings.
Why do my Downloads time out?
Because your Download has taken too long to complete, this can be your
bandwidth problem, or you are trying to D/L to much at once. It could
also be the other users problems of bandwidth, mostly just retry the D/L
again and it should resume OK.
The other user cancels my Download,
what can I do?
Firstly that's between you and the other user, its the nature of P2P.
Generally though it could mean that you are not sharing any files (really
bad) or just that the other user doesn't want to share his file with you.
Again that's between you and them, if that happens just search again and
try someone else. However if this continues enter one of the chat rooms
and ask for a elite to help you!
Why am I Banned from the Network?
For sharing forbidden material like Porn, Nazi and racist stuff. Or below
the minimum file share limit. Very rarely you will be kicked by
the server if you try to logon to more than one server at a time, just
don't do it ! With all Bans there is always the reason stated if
you think it is unfair or want another chance then mail the server owner.
A user is bugging me what can I do?
Cancel the D/L, in settings Block or Ignore that user,
log off the Network or finally close your Client Program. We cannot and
will not intervene between users ! All the answers you need are in your
hands, i.e. the mouse !

How can I help?
Well you should come to the Ballad! Chat Channel on-line, accessible
from all servers, chat and get to know us all. You could become a Mod+
on our Network hunting for Porn, Nazi, and Racist file sharers. But probably
the Best Thing to help us would be to become a server
and join us in our efforts. You don't need a huge computer or the best
bandwidth, a P3 350 and 56K modem will do nicely. The maximum amount of
users you could possible get depends on many variables so its best to
discuss that in Chat. Of course you will decide what's best for you, after
testing your Server out.
So you're all Computer experts and "Geeks"
then?
Yes and No, we can solve most every day problems one might have with
a computer, and we have learnt a lot about our subject. It is true we
do have a huge Knowledge base on our Network and can get most things done.
But basically we are just plain and simple File Sharers who wanted to
do something more.
I have a server can I link with you
guys?
Sure, come to the Ballad! chat Channel we'll discuss it with you.
Is there any other way I can help out?
Yes ! if you have a web-site then link to ours, and maybe insert a nice
positive comment or recommendation. Tell your friends and on-line buddies
to visit the Ballad Network and go to the website, be active in the Network,
sign the Guestbook and post messages at Forum, this will show us that
our efforts are appreciated.
